The X-plorenow Exploration Community

Exploration has been a key part of society since the beginning of man. Starting as a necessity for hunting and gathering, it soon developed into a means for empire expansion with the Greeks, Romans, and Huns, and continued with the Vikings and European explorers such as Columbus, Magellan, and Vasco De Gama. It continued even recently with the pioneers of the America expanding west in search of gold, opportunity, and a better life. These activities were driven by both necessity and curiosity.

You would think that with the advent of technology that exploration would be easier and even more frequent. But the converse was actually true. Technology made life simpler for most; people now go to the store rather than hunting and gathering. Due to this, people often stay closer to home. Most people can now go down the street and get what ever they need and want. While simpler, we no longer have an appreciation for where these goods come from and the impact they have on nature. While also mostly clustered around city centers we also have lost an appreciation for the beauty and value of nature. Something has to change. The simple answer is to start exploring and appreciating again.

The goal of the X-plorenow exploration community is to provide an environment where adventure's of all levels can share tips, ideas, and adventures. X-plorenow will also provide information, videos, and pictures on previous as well as upcoming team adventures and expeditions.

The AdventureSelector Tool

The AdventureSelector tool is intended to provide an interactive environment where adventure's can submit trail information, descriptions, and pictures. It will also allow any adventurer to select your perfect adventure and be able to directly download the coordinates to your computer and or GPS. The x-plorenow team will also be adding trails and adventures. The tool will support a variety of activities including, off road driving, hiking, kayaking, and backpacking.
