Conservation Through Exploration

Truly it may be said that the outside of a mountain is good for the inside of a man ~ George Wherry, Alpine Notes and the Climbing Foot, 1896

X-plorenow Expeditions

We have a strong interest in exploring the remote regions of Alaska and Canada, including the Canadian Yukon Territory and Boreal Forest, along with experiencing the true native culture and visiting the classic tourist sites. This will be a large focus of our exploration efforts. Our goal is to find trail access to previously rarely explored areas. This is true wilderness and has some of the most beautiful landscapes in the world. This is an area that should be respected and protected, yet also enjoyed. But it is also an area under attack by development and oil exploration. Hopefully a renewed excitement and interest in this area will allow us to continue to protect and nurture it for years to come.

Our other passion is the Southern Atlantic and Caribbean Ocean. This is also a beautiful yet fragile environment that needs to be explored, enjoyed, and protected.

These are our main passions but we plan to explore as much of the world as we can. As we are currently living in Colorado, we will spend a great deal of time exploring Colorado, Utah, and Wyoming.

Along with the environment, we have a keen interest and love for wildlife of all kinds.

Alaska 2010

X-plorenow is currently planning an expedition to Alaska for the summer of 2010. The goal of the expedition is to find new recreational areas in central and northern Alaska in hopes that people will find a new use and respect for this region and hopefully look to further protect it. Our expedition will cover other areas of Alaska including the Southern and Southeastern regions to help showcase the beauty that Alaska has to offer.
